Kolade is an active player in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry, particularly the Nigerian Local Content Development drive. Kolade led a team of lawyers that advised the Nigerian National Assembly on the conception and passage of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act 2010. He is presently advising major International Oil and Gas companies on the implementation of the Nigerian Content Development Act.

Kolade also advised the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board on the conceptualization, design and implementation of the Nigerian Content Fund. Kolade has consistently attended the Global Local Content Summits in London, which is the pioneering and leading international local content conference where he has delivered seminar papers.

He was also a member of the team of lawyers that advised the Nigerian National Assembly on the legal and regulatory framework of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB). As a key member of the Dispute resolution team, Kolade represents regularly, the interests of clients in all the courts in Nigeria, particularly in Oil and Gas related disputes arising out of agreements and concessions in the industry. Kolade acts as the firm’s liaison to the major regulators in the Oil and Gas industry.

Kolade leads the firm’s Business Development Unit, where he is responsible for expanding the frontiers of the firm’s business and he is currently a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
