Halimat is a key associate in the firm’s dispute resolution and corporate/commercial practice. Her abilities to apply legal concepts to factual situations, conduct thorough legal research, effective communication skills and proffer solutions to legal challenges have afforded her the opportunity of working alongside distinguished senior colleagues and in some instances sole appearance in court diligently.
She undertakes a broad range of work in the firm’s Litigation, corporate and commercial areas of the firm as well as intellectual property and dispute resolution. She regularly advises local and international clients on all aspects of corporate and commercial law as well as intellectual property law. She has carried out several company and trademark registrations. She is actively involved in transactional consultancy on contracts worth millions of dollars and regularly drafts boutique of contractual instruments to protect the interest of clients.
Halimat has had to manage clientele relationship which she has done and is still doing with utmost diligence. She conducts due diligence on behalf of several companies & regulatory agencies in Nigeria e.g Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). She has worked on a variety of legal transactions developing core competence in diverse areas of law. She has had the opportunity to advise local and international clients on diverse areas of law and appear on their behalf before trial and appellate courts in Nigeria and garner the requisite experience in the process.
