REPRESENTATIVE WORK

• Part of the team of lawyers that represented several companies and successfully obtained court orders of enforcement of an undertaking as to damages of almost a billion naira against a leading bank with respect to a Mareva injunction wrongly obtained against the companies.

• Member of the team of lawyers that successfully represented a thriving real estate company in a complex law suit bordering on a purported receivership in relation to over 100 plots of land in one of the biggest estates in Lagos State.
• Represented a leading Bank in a debt recovery matter and obtained a favourable judgement worth hundreds of millions of naira.
• Responsible for the preparation of legal documentation in respect of allocation of land to private and commercial allottees of 2 leading real estate companies in Nigeria.
• Managed corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters for the firm’s corporate clients to ensure proactive mitigation of risks; provided company secretarial and legal advisory services to the firm’s corporate clients under Amalgamated Nominees Limited, a company affiliate of the firm.
• Conducted due diligence on prospective asset sales and purchases, advised and assisted clients to facilitate smooth and successful property closings, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
• Assisted clients to undertake perfection of leases, mortgages, conveyances and other documents of title and processing of Certificates of Occupancy at the Federal and State Land Registries.
• Provided strategic legal advice to clients on all phases of major construction and infrastructure projects.
• Assisted clients in negotiation, drafting and review of construction contracts including obtaining relevant permits and approvals.
• Provided transaction counsel and legal advisory to corporate clients on legal issues relating to their formation, management and operations.
