Kolade is an active player in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry, particularly the Nigerian Local Content Development drive. As a key member of the Firm’s Dispute resolution team, he represents regularly, the interests of clients in all the courts in Nigeria, particularly in Oil and Gas related disputes arising from agreements and concessions in the industry.
Kolade led a team of lawyers that advised the Nigerian National Assembly on the conception and passage of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act 2010. He is presently advising major international Oil and Gas companies on the implementation of the Nigerian Content Development Act.
Kolade also advised the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board on the conceptualization, design and implementation of the Nigerian Content Fund. He has consistently attended the Global Local Content Summits in London, which is the pioneering and leading international local content conference where he has delivered seminar papers. He was also a member of the team of lawyers that advised the Nigerian National Assembly on the legal and regulatory framework of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).
Kolade leads the firm’s Business Development Unit, where he is responsible for expanding the frontiers of the firm’s business. Kolade is a graduate of the University of Ibadan and the Nigerian Law School.
