REPRESENTATIVE WORK

• Acting as counsel to a major gas exporting company over a tax dispute with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) worth millions of dollars.

• Representing a West African focused gold producer in a multi-billion naira claim over alleged illegal gold mining operations in southwestern Nigeria.
• Acting as counsel to one of the joint venture partners of the oil mining lease (OML) 18 in a dispute relating to the arbitrary exercise of power by a law enforcement agency in Nigeria.
• Acting as counsel for a state-of-the-art, fully ensuite 100-bed hospital facility in Nigeria in a multi-billion naira medical negligence law suit filed against it by one of its patients.
• Successfully struck out a claim in excess of tens of millions of naira for a technology-focused digital distribution and payments company in Nigeria.
• Advising an E-commerce logistics and payment service operator in Africa on the defences to a copyright infringement action instituted against it by one of Nigeria’s foremost actors in the entertainment industry.
