Orji has emerged a vital component of the firm’s Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. He routinely advises local and foreign clients on diverse areas of law and regularly appears on their behalf before arbitral tribunals as well as trial and appellate courts in Nigeria in high profile general civil & commercial disputes.
Orji has played a significant role in representing the interest of clients in several multi-billion Naira debt recovery disputes as well as admiralty and aviation disputes in Nigeria. He was part of the team that resolved a volatile trade dispute stand-off that threatened the corporate existence of one of the firm’s clients in the oil and gas industry. He is also part of the team doggedly defending the interests of one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous companies in a multimillion Dollar maritime dispute and has worked on some of the first few cases testing the efficacy of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act.
Orji is also part of the team representing a client in litigation with the Federal Government of Nigeria aimed at enforcing compliance with some watershed infrastructure concession agreements. Orji is skilled in trial advocacy, alternative dispute resolution, legal research, case analysis and legal writing.
