Her practice focuses generally, on disputes arising from commercial contracts; Banking, Finance and Securities, Employment relations, Real estate and Infrastructure, Taxation and in particular, actions challenging the exercise of powers by government and its agencies/regulators.
A trial lawyer with remarkable brief writing and advocacy skills, she regularly advises on various aspects of litigation resolution/avoidance and provides practical and cost effective solutions to the firm’s multinational, corporate and high net worth individual clients which cut across Banking, Transportation/Logistics, Oil and Gas, Real estate and Infrastructure sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Part of the team of lawyers that represented a real estate company in Nigeria in an arbitral proceeding leading to an arbitral award of about N52Billion against the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Part of the team that advised the concessionaire in the review of a Federal Highway Concession Agreement which cuts across South West Nigeria and currently representing the concessionaire in disputes challenging the purported termination and re-concession of the Highway.
Part of the team of lawyers representing Nigeria’s premier gas export company in a multibillion dollar dispute against Nigeria’s apex regulatory maritime agency with respect to the blockade of its vessels.
Part of the team of lawyers that advised a major multinational Oil company in an extra-jurisdictional suit over a dispute with host communities involving a multi-billion dollar claim.
Represented a multinational company at the Tax Appeal Tribunal against the Federal Agency and successfully obtained judgment setting the tax assessment aside.
