Profile

Kehinde started his career as a legal officer in one of the leading Nigerian banks and later joined the firm as an Associate bringing to bear, his wealth of experience in project finance, banking and securities as well as mergers and acquisition. He is the partner responsible for the firm’s corporate finance, banking and securities team. In this capacity, he has rendered legal services and advised on numerous transactions in Nigeria relating to project finance, banking and allied matters, private equity, initial public offers and taxation.

Kehinde is a contributor to the Nigerian Chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guides (ICLG) publication on “Corporate Tax” and the Nigerian Chapter of “Getting the Deal Through -Air Transport”, a publication on Aviation Law. He is a Notary Public for Nigeria.

Notable work undertaken
Part of the team that provided advisory services to a State Government in respect of a claim filed at the Supreme Court by another State Government challenging the constitutionality of the Value Added Tax Act.

Acted as local counsel to an English bank in respect of a US$100million credit facility loan granted to a foremost telecommunications company in Nigeria.

Led the legal team that prepared all security documentation in relation to interests in a Nigerian company and title to Oil and Gas assets.

Currently advising an International Oil and Gas servicing company on tax claims of over N2.4billion brought by a Federal tax regulatory authority in Nigeria;

Regularly advises a leading logistics company in Nigeria on their tax issues, pension and employment issues.

Acting as transaction counsel to an indigenous mining company in Nigeria regarding the sale of its mineral assets in a State in Nigeria.

Currently advising an International private equity company in Nigeria.

Regularly advises and represents the interest of a number of banks in Nigeria.

Regularly liaises with both local and foreign investors on the legal aspects of investment in Nigeria and various Government bodies on company matters.

Has advised clients on disputes arising from margin trading facilities, loans and mortgages.
