Adetunji is a member of the firm’s litigation team and posseses remarkable negotiation and dispute resolution skills. He advises clients on a wide range of subjects including Banking, Aviation, Labour and Oil and Gas law, regularly. Adetunji has garnered experience in criminal litigation and in particular, the defence of high profile clients charged with corporate crimes such as money laundering, tax evasion etc and successfully secures their acquittal; notably, on a case involving a top ranking politician in Lagos, Nigeria. He is currently involved in the defense of a US$31 million claim against a multinational Oil servicing firm in Nigeria where the application of the Nigerian Local Content Act is in issue.
Adetunji is also an Assistant Editor in the law publishing arm of the Firm (Optimum Law Publishers Ltd) which is also based in Lagos. His duties include reporting judgments of Nigeria’s superior courts of record; a role that has enhanced his advocacy skills and analytical mind which he regularly deploys in handling clients’cases. By virtue of his role, he is abreast of the appellate courts’ latest decisions and the current trends in the development of the law.
